Mechanical Engineer at BRINC Drones This role focuses on leading the design, development, and optimization of mechanical systems for BRINC's advanced drones and public safety products. You will drive technical innovation, mentor engineers, and ensure products meet high standards of performance, durability, and manufacturability. You will participate in full lifecycle development from concept through validation, and collaborate cross-functionally to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software systems. Base pay

$128,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr About BRINC

BRINC redefines public safety with an ecosystem of life-saving tools. Our solutions support first responders and are used by over 600 public safety agencies. We are seeking skilled embedded software engineers and, for this role, a Mechanical Engineer to design flight hardware and related systems. Key Responsibilities

Own hardware development from specification to design, prototype, testing, and manufacturing. Collaborate with software, electrical, perception, controls, and manufacturing engineers. Design flight hardware and test setups to validate designs. Establish top-level design architectures and communicate decisions to stakeholders. Perform design analyses and document testing results to land key product features. Work with Industrial Design to ensure design intent and customer needs are met. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the mechanical engineering team. Qualifications

3+ years of mechanical/electromechanical design experience. Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Experience in fast-paced technical environments. DFM, DFA, DFT experience; GD&T and statistical tolerance analysis. Proficiency with industry standard 3D CAD tools. Knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques (plastics, metals, adhesives; stamping, machining, 3D printing, injection molding). Preferred Skills

5+ years designing mechanical solutions for Aerospace, Robotics, Automotive, or related industries. Experience with supply chain partners and electronics packaging for high-stress environments; fault analysis and FEA. Ability to work in dynamic environments, independently and in small teams, with clear communication. Experience developing mechanical solutions for UAV/UAS used in commercial, industrial, or defense contexts. BRINC Culture Values
