The Electrical Superintendent oversees field operations, safety, productivity, scheduling, quality work, commissioning, and coordination with other superintendents and project leaders on the jobsite. This position reports to the Field Operations Manager or a senior manager designated by the CEO. This is a project-site role, working from a home office with travel to project sites. Working hours are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. local time. Overtime and weekend work may be required. Travel may be up to 100%. Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities
Directs solar/construction personnel and/or installation subcontractors to complete projects on schedule, within budget, and with quality workmanship conforming to plans and specifications Coordinate personnel, material, and equipment to meet schedules Support planning and utilization of proper means and methods for activities Analyze situations, forecast problems, evaluate options, and recommend/implement actions Follow and implement the company’s Health, Safety & Environmental Policy Identify welding certification, training, and experience appropriate for assignment scope Coordinate resources and activities to maintain safe and quality execution Ensure all work is within approved scope and compliant with requirements Coordinate with supplier testing & commissioning teams Advise site teams on paperwork needed to initiate commissioning Identify testing required per project scope Communicate with engineering parties to meet commissioning requirements Perform duties as assigned by Management Required Qualifications
Minimum 5–10 years of professional experience supporting the construction of major projects, preferably utility-scale (power stations or similar) Solar PV, wind power, or BESS project experience preferred Willingness to travel Excellent skills in MS Project or comparable project management tool; strong technical aptitude Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Fluent in written and spoken English; bilingual English/Spanish preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Experience reviewing electrical and mechanical installation and design technical packages Assertive, able to cope with pressure, team player Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable statutes and guidelines Attention to detail and time-management Ability to interact with Owner’s Field Representative and outside testing agencies Experience operating solar power plants and equipment Supervise entire electrical department (15 crews, 100–150 people) Cable installation and termination (AC/DC/MV/Fiber); CAB System and Combiner Box installation Module-to-module series connection (Plug and Play); Harness installation SCADA, MET station Aux rack installation Temporary and permanent power connections for substations and office trailers Travel up to 100% as needed Physical Demands
Able to climb ladders, scaffolding, stairways; work at elevated heights and in confined spaces Able to walk or move continuously while carrying tools and materials (up to 50 lbs); assistance recommended for items over 50 lbs Stand or walk for long periods; work extended hours on uneven surfaces Repeated movements required Location
