We're looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to lead yield improvement and root cause analysis. As the Manufacturing Engineer for a Line Replaceable Unit at Project Kuiper, you will be directly responsible for failure root cause analysis, production process development, and improvement of a key module on our next generation spacecraft. You will be the leading technical voice for a team of manufacturing engineers working on the product, solving challenging technical problems associated with delivering an ultra-high-performing optical, electrical, and mechatronic module to space. Key Responsibilities

Serve as a technical lead on failure analysis and non-conformance management. Drive yield improvement through process change. Support operations team directly by being a high-solving-power engineer, capable of bringing multiple diverging technical perspectives together in high-pressure escalation moments such as quality containments. Education

BS/MS in Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Optics/Optical Sciences Required Skills

Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC, etc. Strong analytical skills Strong communication and writing skills Experience with Optical System Design & Metrology Preferred Skills

Experience with Python Programming Language Experience with Fiber Optic Systems Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab Normal day

75% of time on the production floor working with technician teams to solve technical blockers (test report reviews, defect material triage, ERP blockers, etc.). 25% of time performing independent development work such as data analysis on disturbances and improving troubleshooting documentation.
