Keep California's Top Fleet Running - BRIXCO Construction, Inc. is hiring a Heavy Equipment & Fleet Mechanic to support our growing fleet of trucks and construction equipment across the Bay Area. This is a hands-on role where you'll diagnose, service, and repair a diverse lineup of vehicles and heavy machinery, ensuring our crews and projects operate smoothly and safely. Civil Construction / Utilities / Sitework (Residential, Commercial, Industrial) Key Responsibilities
Inspect, diagnose, and repair heavy construction equipment and commercial vehicles Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing to reduce downtime Troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical components Dismantle, overhaul, and reassemble equipment and machinery as needed Use computer-based diagnostic tools and software to maintain accurate service records Manage parts orders, tracking, and inventory for repairs Provide input on maintenance schedules and equipment improvements Assist in mobilization/setup of equipment for job sites as required Maintain cleanliness and organization of the shop and yard Transport parts and materials between suppliers, the shop, and job sites Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of hands-on mechanic experience with heavy equipment or commercial trucks (5+ years preferred) In-depth knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, and electrical diagnostics Ability to operate forklifts and construction equipment Proficient with diagnostic software and basic computer applications Valid Class C driver's license (CDL preferred) Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs and work outdoors or on active jobsites Strong time management, organization, and independent decision-making skills Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Equipment & Fleet You'll Work On
