LHH Recruitment Solutions has an opening for a Product Engineer for our client in the Frederick, MD area. This role is pivotal in driving product development, sustaining engineering efforts, and ensuring our products meet the evolving needs of our customers. You’ll collaborate across departments to bring innovative solutions to life and support the continuous improvement of our product lines.
Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and enhancement of Aseptic and clean room HVAC products from concept through production Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation, including CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and specifications Collaborate with manufacturing, sales, and service teams to ensure product feasibility, quality, and performance Conduct testing and validation of new designs and components Support cost reduction initiatives and product standardization efforts Evaluate customer feedback and field data to drive product improvements Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements Assist in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to products Qualifications:
Associate degree or technical training in mechanical engineering or related field preferred; equivalent experience also considered 5+ years of experience in product design or engineering, preferably in HVAC or mechanical systems Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) and engineering analysis tools Strong understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer Experience with HVAC systems for mission-critical environments (e.g., data centers, labs, healthcare) preferred Familiarity with modular design principles and their application in product architecture preferred Knowledge of evaporative cooling technologies and their integration into HVAC systems a plus Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams Familiarity with manufacturing processes and quality control principles Benefits & Compensation:
