Overview
Well established builder in the DMV area is seeking a skilled Project Manager with extensive mechanical/HVAC experience to join their growing team. This is a permanent position to manage mechanical projects, including HVAC, renovation, restoration, hospital construction, and remodels. The successful candidate will manage all phases of the project lifecycle from concept, design, and planning to installation, testing, and handover, and will oversee piping, duct, chiller, and boiler systems. Base salary : $125,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all aspects of mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists to ensure project goals are met. Prepare and present project proposals, scopes of work, schedules, and budgets. Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment. Monitor project progress, anticipate and mitigate potential risks, and implement corrective actions when necessary. Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and laws. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, and all other stakeholders. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure adherence to design specifications and safety standards. Resolve any issues or problems that may arise during the construction process. Provide regular project updates to senior management and stakeholders. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in mechanical project management within the construction industry. Proven experience managing HVAC projects, renovation, restoration, hospital construction, and remodels. Proficient in managing piping, duct, chiller, and boiler systems. Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Excellent project management and leadership skills. Effective problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in project management software and tools. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. Willingness to travel to construction sites as needed. Benefits
