POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES The Senior Electrical Engineer (IV) plays a key role in the successful execution of projects from start to finish. This individual will provide technical and engineering excellence, as well as successful delivery of work to our customers. Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following: Assists with the design of one or more of the following: power distribution systems (primary requirement), size motor feeders and starters. Supports the design of building power and lighting systems. Prepares engineering documents and equipment specifications to meet contracted scope of work and to ensure application of Electrical Engineering Principles. Assists with performing voltage drop and short-circuit calculations. Perform arc fault analysis. Coordinates work with other departments and project team members as well as contractors. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Required Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Must be legally authorized to work in the US on a permanent basis without the need for work sponsorship now or in the future. Ten plus years of electrical engineering experience. Professional Engineering (P.E.) registration in Ohio, or the ability to obtain Ohio registration via comity are required. Project experience and a working knowledge of Electrical design for building projects. Healthcare design experience, familiarity with FGI guidelines and NFPA 99. Strong electrical design expertise across various industries and processes. Knowledge in both Revit and AutoCAD, or similar drawing experience. Comprehensive understanding of Electrical, Mechanical, Civil, and Structural Engineering construction practices. In-depth knowledge of industry codes and standards (NEC, NFPA, NESC, ANSI/IEEE, NFPA, IBC, Life Safety Code, etc.). Supervisory or people-management experience. Exceptional interpersonal skills to enable effective interaction with Designers, Engineers, and Project Managers. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to collaborate effectively with others.
