Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time Clinical Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D. or M.S.) located at the Plano (East), TX clinic at 3705 W 15th Plano, Texas 75075. Overview Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. Our founders pioneered community-based cancer care because they believed in making the best available cancer care accessible to all communities, allowing people to fight cancer at home with the critical support of family and friends nearby. Facilities and Equipment TXO Plano East is part of the Texas Oncology Dallas region. While operationally independent day-to-day, each center collaborates as six fully staffed, Texas Oncology clinics in the Dallas area (Plano East, Medical City, Presbyterian, Sammons, Mesquite, and Rockwall) through sharing of a common, single database for record and verify, Eclipse treatment planning (conventional and SRS/SBRT), Rad Calc 2nd check program, Profiler, MapCheck3, SNC Routine, and 3D scanning system. The Team Combined, the fully staffed region will consist of 11 board certified radiation oncologists, 9 ABR certified physicists, 10 certified medical dosimetrists. As an integral part of Texas Oncology, you will appreciate the opportunity to corroborate with other network physicists who are eager to share their expertise. Texas Oncology also provides many vendor webinars, its own journal club and the opportunity to serve on committees. Responsibilities Preferred Experience: Eclipse, and Oncentra treatment planning systems HDR planning and treatment. CAMPEP Accredited Residency Program in Medical Physics Valid Texas Medical Board license American Board of Radiology certification or board eligible Preferred two years of experience as a certified medical physicist Working knowledge of SRS, SBRT, and HDR Experience with Varian linear accelerators Experience with Eclipse Planning system Experience with Oncentra Planning system Strong organization and oral / written communication skills Candidate will primarily work at the Plano, Tx site and provide support to other POD sites, as needed.
