Texas Oncology is seeking a full-time

Certified Medical Physicist (Ph.D or M.S.)

to join a group of five radiation oncology centers located in the

North Dallas Region . This position is housed at the Texas Oncology clinic in

Flower Mound, Texas . Texas Oncology is the largest community oncology provider in the country and has approximately 600+ providers in 220+ sites across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma. While operationally independent day-to-day, each center collaborates as five fully staffed Texas Oncology clinics in the North Dallas area (McKinney, Plano, Denison, Denton, and Flower Mound) through sharing a common ARIA database for record and verify, Eclipse Planning System (conventional and SRS/SBRT), Rad Calc 2nd check program, Profiler, SNC Physics Software, and 3D scanning system. We have the following treatment and imaging equipment: Six Varian linacs, two Elekta Nucletron HDRs, three Nucletron Flexitron HDRs, five GE CTs, one PET/CT and a mobile PET/CT used to treat an average of 160-170 patients a day at the five sites. The Team:

Combined, the fully staffed region will consist of five board certified radiation oncologists, seven ABR certified physicists, 1 non-certified medical physicist, seven certified medical dosimetrists, and five chief therapists. As an integral part of Texas Oncology, you will collaborate with other network physicists. Texas Oncology provides vendor webinars, its own journal club, and opportunities to serve on committees. This position is based in Flower Mound with occasional travel to North Dallas Regional sites as needed. Full range of on-site clinical medical physics support to include HDR, SRS, SBRT. Support and participate in physics support for the North Dallas Region. Occasionally travel to sites within the region for on-site physics support. Determine the need for, specify, and access dosimetric and treatment planning equipment including measurement instruments to calibrate all treatment equipment and monitoring devices, summarized to include computerized treatment planning systems, water phantom systems with ionization chambers and diodes, etc. Advise and consult with physicians to provide direction to technical staff during planning or treatment. Qualifications

Master's degree or PhD in Physics or Medical Physics from an accredited institution. ABR certified, or CAMPEP-approved residency completed and board eligible; clinical experience preferred.
