Overview
Lead Sales Engineer - Southeast at ABB. The role is based in the Atlanta area and focuses on driving sales of ABB/B&R automation products and services, building relationships with customers, understanding requirements, proposing solutions, and ensuring successful sales outcomes. Key Responsibilities
Grow sales of B&R's complete product range by working on new and existing sales opportunities. Lead account and opportunity acquisition strategy; understand customer teams and decision processes. Lead highly technical value-proposition generation by aligning customer needs with B&R’s offerings. Cultivate important customer relationships through formal and informal engagements. Build relationships with upper management at Top Accounts. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver presentations and demonstrations of products and services. Identify, define, and develop the best technical solution and strategy for customer applications. Lead in-depth technical presentations and discussions with customers. Secure orders and ensure timely delivery. Own the forecasting and business plan for your territory. Grow customer share through account planning, exceptional sales support, and new product introductions. Develop market intelligence and document knowledge in the CRM system. Attend industry events and trade shows to network with potential customers and represent ABB at events. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience. 7+ years’ relevant experience in sales/business development with proven technical knowledge of robotics, programmable controllers, PLCs, and automation systems. Ability to travel up to 50% in the region, with potential domestic and international travel; valid driver’s license and passport. Ability to understand and explain complex technical products and solutions; interest in leading-edge technology across industries. Strong interpersonal and presentation skills. Experience with machine, motion control, and programming preferred. Work authorization to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship. Location and Work Model
