The opportunity is for a full-time Senior Marine Structural Engineer working on domestic and international marine, coastal and heavy civil projects. Responsibilities
Provide marine structural engineering related design, analysis, and studies for domestic and international marine, coastal and heavy civil projects. Design and inspect marine structures including docks, marinas, wharves, piers, steel, timber and concrete pile structures, floating structures, breakwaters, seawalls, bulkheads, and waterfront facilities. Experience with design hydraulic structures is a plus. Serve as a technical leader in a regional practice lead capacity, guiding engineering strategy and advising on national practice strategy for Coast and Flood Infrastructure projects. Execute assigned projects and mentor younger professionals. Team
Roles align with BV Operations projects supporting Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial sectors. Projects range from small community improvements to mega projects, with opportunities for growth and development and a collaborative culture. Key Responsibilities
Provide guidance on department design guides, standards, systems, engineering codes and BV policies; may own or develop engineering standards and guides; provide technical guidance to project teams. Ensure compliance with BV quality program; establish processes; support continuous improvement, change management and risk management. Prepare complex engineering deliverables for multiple or mega projects; perform research and recommend equipment/materials; manage data for engineering work. Perform complex engineering calculations; manage budgets, schedules, and quality; develop advanced engineering solutions; supervise and delegate tasks to develop depth of project execution staff. Coordinate with internal/external team members on complex projects; define project schedules for single or multiple disciplines. Identify client interests and drivers; communicate them to the project team and adapt the work to address these concerns. Assist business development or pursuit activities; identify future client needs and position BV for the future. Serve as a technical specialist in broad or specialized areas; support multiple projects on complex technical challenges; may work with chief engineers or top engineering management. Oversee performance management, career planning, development, and related actions; mentor lower and mid-level professionals. Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline Prior experience as a Marine Structural Engineer Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or active pursuit of PE registration Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program Minimum of 11 years related work experience Certifications
Professional engineering registration is preferred or in active pursuit. Work Environment/Physical Demands
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days, based on manager discretion and performance.
