Quality Engineer II

The Quality Engineer 2 is responsible to implement the Quality Management System to ensure delivered product is consistent with Parker engineering drawings, specifications, customer requirements and government and aviation regulations. Provide Quality Engineering support for all Quality aspects of product realization including design controls, inspection plans, assembly process controls, test and delivery. Work collaboratively with functions of the organization.
Responsibilities
Execute the development, implementation and the continued improvement of the Quality Management System for the assigned product lines.
Will work with internal Team Members and outside suppliers and customers. Will participate on and lead cross-functional teams.
Evaluate and disposition non-conforming material and customer returns in a timely manner. Work with supplier quality to put in place inspection plans for receiving inspection and suppliers. Ensure customer requirements are flown-down to suppliers.
Effectively communicate in oral and written form in order to present information and respond to questions from Team Members, Suppliers and Customers.
Create compliance matrices for customer specifications, quality requirements, and contractual documents.
Author and tailor quality assurance plans.
Lead and support customer, internal and thirty party audits as required.
Collect data, establish facts, define problems, and perform problem solving activities for issues identified within our production processes.
Perform root cause investigations and identify corrective actions to reduce customer escapes, resolve customer complaints and reduce internal rejections.
Partner with Manufacturing and Design Engineering to plan, review and implement product testing.
Work with Manufacturing Engineering to solve fabrication problems as they arise.
Utilize lean manufacturing, error proofing and continuous improvement initiatives to support Operations by assisting in development of robust processes that assures quality products and services.
Participate in the generation of PFMEAs and generate control plans.
Complete gauge studies, evaluate process capability and implement process control plans.
May work in laboratory settings running tests and duplicating real-world conditions, using tools such as micrometers, calipers, gauges, volt meters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and electronic inspection equipment to aid in quality inspections and assessments.
Performs internal Quality System Audits as required.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
Familiar with technical procedures, specifications, standards, and other engineering and manufacturing related documents.
Familiar with Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC) and tools (e.g., ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, and FMEA).
Must have the ability to solve simple problems, assess and implement continuous improvement techniques for Quality and Manufacturing functions using Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, Lean, DMAIC) and tools (e.g., ANOVA, SPC, Capability Analysis, DOE, MSA, and FMEA).
Use standard business applications software and/or specialized data analysis tools.
Prefer certification: ISO Lead Auditor Certification, ASQ Certification, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt Certification, and/or ISO Internal Auditor Certification.
Education & Experience
Education: Required a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Science
Year of experience: 3+ years of quality engineering experience
Compensation and Benefits
Pay Range: $83250 to $138550 annually
Participation in Annual Incentive Program
