Construction Engineering - Project Manager . This role will provide the opportunity to work on a variety of construction engineering projects for local contractors such as temporary work trestle, erection plans, demolition plans, shoring, cribbing, control of water, and steel or concrete structural repairs. This position offers the chance to take ownership of your projects, push for new ideas, and obtain the resources needed to follow through on your plans. Base pay range
$130,000.00/yr - $160,000.00/yr
Responsibilities
Independently performs moderately difficult engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices. Lead the planning, analysis, and delivery of construction engineering projects such as temporary work trestle, erection plans, demolition plans, shoring, cribbing, support of excavation, control of water, etc. in accordance with project requirements. Manage project scopes, schedules, budgets, QA/QC processes, and team coordination. Serve as the primary client contact for contractors, MassDOT, MBTA, municipalities, and stakeholders. Prepare complete engineering plans or reports. Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents. Be active in technical societies such as ASCE, AISC, CMAA, WTS, AREMA, etc. Responsible for moderately difficult engineering projects in field or office in accordance with plans and specifications. Participate in proposal writing, fee development, and client interviews. Work directly with clients. Responsible for project schedules and timely completion of projects. Monitor project budgets. Oversee and review calculations, reports, and memorandums. Ensure accurate client billings and monitor outstanding accounts receivable. Assist in proposal preparation, project scoping, estimating project costs, project planning, and project quality. Be available to attend meetings or events outside of normal working hours. Direct and supervise the work of entry-level engineers, technicians, drafters and administrative staff. Actively observe and practice safety in all activities. Ensure staff needing specialized training in health and safety procedures receives such training and that safety is discussed as an important aspect of their work. Other duties may be assigned. Relocation is available.
The base salary will be estimated between $130,000 - $160,000 plus bonuses and benefits and contingent on relevant experience.
