Reliability Engineer

Position Summary The Senior Reliability Engineer will provide engineering support for the optimization and maintenance of mechanical and electrical systems, and instrumentation at the Okmulgee plant. It is your responsibility to develop and manage reliability studies and projects to improve overall equipment effectiveness. Responsibilities
Develop and manage reliability studies and projects to improve plant OEE Manage the Predictive and condition monitoring programs including vibration, infrared, ultrasound analysis and Tribology programs Monitor the performance of PdM program Manage the Mechanical Integrity program and continuously improve it Develop, execute, and manage Reliability projects including CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects Develop maintenance strategies for current and new equipment and systems, including defining spare parts, preventive and PdM plans, lubrication routes, BOMs Lead FMEA’s for all critical equipment at the plant Lead reliability studies to identify equipment bad actors and define solutions to improve their uptime Lead failure investigations analysis for equipment and instrument failures Manage and update the list of EHS and Food Safety critical instruments Give technical support to capital projects by participating on project reviews, PSSR’s, HAZOP’s Give support and technical guidance to critical equipment repairs Define the design and specification of new applications being developed by maintenance Design and develop equipment and materials upgrades to improve plant uptime Implement new equipment designs and modifications to improve reliability Develop strategies aimed at improving equipment availability and reducing life-cycle cost Develop 3rd party service contracts to support specialized services on equipment throughout the plant Implement projects to support the environmental, health, and safety management system Troubleshoot equipment, monitor performance, and recommend repairs and upgrades to improve availability Develop training material to be shared with the maintenance technicians Specialized/Technical Knowledge or Required Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field and 7 or more years of Maintenance Reliability experience in a Manufacturing or Chemical Plant environment. Familiarity with standard operating and maintenance practices for piping systems, rotating equipment, pressure vessels, heat transfer equipment, pumps, fans, separators and other process installations and instrumentation Demonstrated project management ability Strong and effective interpersonal, communication and presentation skills Strong Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) Expertise on methodologies for root cause analysis and FMEA Strong knowledge on PM’s and PdM’s strategies SAP knowledge Six Sigma or Lean manufacturing experience is a plus.
