Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE between 0.9 and 1.0) Shift: Shift 1 Work Schedule: 8 Hr (7:00 AM - 3:00 PM) Summary

This position is part of Rush’s Day Program (Partial Hospitalization Program) for adults. The role involves structured group treatment and providing utilization management to support patients in treatment planning, discharge needs, and overall care coordination. The LCSW provides clinical consultation to assess and treat individuals with common mental and behavioral health conditions and their families in a multidisciplinary outpatient practice setting, on inpatient and hospital units, and within home and school communities. Responsibilities

Interviews, assesses and evaluates clients and families who present for care; provide professional outpatient counseling and treatment with the goal of maximizing personal/family stability. Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans and case summaries; maintain confidential records. Chart treatment and progress in accordance with state regulations and accepted community standards. Develop, implement and evaluate treatment approaches for clients and families (individual, family, group, or intensive modalities). Consult with physicians and other care team members regarding client progress and treatment; collaborate on treatment plans for hospitalized clients when applicable. Utilize community resources to meet treatment goals and refer to external resources as needed; participate in development, implementation and evaluation of programs within the psychiatry department. Develop and conduct psycho-educational classes and groups. Supervise social work interns; perform related duties as required. Qualifications

Required Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Applied Behavioral Science. Current State of Illinois licensure as LCSW. Two years of prior social work experience in healthcare, care management, mental health and/or social services. Excellent interpersonal skills and knowledge of community resources; strong organizational skills. Ability to assess patient and family needs and ask appropriate questions. Preferred Experience working with patient groups; experience with evidence-based therapies. Strong active listening, critical thinking, judgment and decision-making skills. Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Proficiency with MS Office Suite. Ability to sense problems or potential problems; inductive and deductive reasoning in information processing. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Benefits / Notices
