Pay Range: $27.47 - $43.27 per hour
Job Summary This position will provide patient‑centered, trauma‑informed psychotherapy to adults and older adults in Rush’s Infectious Disease Clinic. The successful candidate will support medically complex populations (including HIV/AIDS) using evidence‑based, strengths‑based approaches, and will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive care.
Responsibilities
Provide trauma‑informed psychotherapy services to adults and older adults, addressing diagnosis adjustment, mood, and other specialized needs.
Conduct comprehensive intake assessments (in person and via teletherapy) and develop individualized treatment plans.
Collaborate with patients and families to set goals and provide tools for achieving them.
Maintain ongoing communication with Infectious Disease providers and participate in interdisciplinary meetings.
Document and bill patient sessions accurately using Epic software.
Connect patients and families to resources within Rush and the community.
Promote Rush University System for Health services by referring clients to appropriate Rush clinics.
Support team members through training, crisis management, and other needs.
Represent the department at meetings, conferences, and public engagements as needed.
Required Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Social Work.
Licensed Social Worker (LCSW) in the State of Illinois.
Minimum two years of experience in healthcare, care management, mental health, and/or social services.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with medically complex populations related to infectious disease.
Professional qualities such as initiative, self‑reflection, commitment, responsiveness, and adaptability.
Knowledge of care management, community based interventions, assessment, counseling, and/or motivational interviewing.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and related software.
