We’re looking for a skilled Chemist to join our Hard Products Innovation team and lead the advancement of our coating technologies. In this role, you’ll be the subject matter expert on coatings, driving the research, development, application, and implementation of next-generation materials and processes. Your work will directly impact the performance and durability of our shaving products, ensuring we continue to deliver a superior experience to our customers. A strong background in chemistry, physical chemistry, or polymer science is required, with experience from a chemical supplier or coating technology company preferred. What You Will Accomplish
Lead the research and development of innovative coating technologies for shaving products, focusing on improving key factors that drive consumer perception. Create, develop, evaluate, and demonstrate new coating materials and application methods; collaborate with internal and external partners, including material suppliers, to source and test cutting-edge technologies. Design and execute experiments to characterize coatings and validate their performance; develop test methods and protocols as needed. Translate technical findings into actionable insights for the broader R&D team, contributing to the development of new products from concept to launch. This should describe you
You hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry, Physical Chemistry, Polymer Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree with significant relevant experience will also be considered. You have deep expertise in surface chemistry, material science, and coating technologies, especially thin films. You are a hands-on problem-solver who enjoys designing and running experiments to test hypotheses and drive innovation. You are a strong collaborator, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared goals. You have excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. You are a self-starter with a passion for creating high-quality, innovative results and a drive to constantly improve upon existing technologies. Here's Who You'll Work With
