Sign-on Bonus up to $5000 Responsibilities
Prepare patients for cardiac ultrasound examinations. Perform complete cardiac ultrasound examinations and stress testing. Use ISCV digital archiving system for measurements. Submit accurate charges for all performed examinations. Perform examinations in adherence to department objectives and policies. Communicate with patients and fellow employees in a professional and supportive manner. Help train Cardiac Sonographers at Level 1. Actively participate in process improvement activities. Involved in research and publications to be at the cutting edge of the field. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience outside school hours in cardiac sonography. Accreditation with ARDMS or CCI. Passed boards. Ability to independently perform comprehensive examinations. Excellent written and verbal communications skills. Basic computer skills to work with the Xcelera digital archiving system. From 5 to 10 years’ experience required in ultrasound procedures equipment, CW Doppler, and related anatomy and pathological conditions of the heart, valves, pericardium, and blood vessels. BLS certification and Registration by ARDMS or CCI and pass the registry within one year of hire. Prepare quantitative echocardiographic measurements for reporting. Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation. Independently perform a complete transthoracic examination with appropriate use of contrast when necessary. Computer literate to work with applicable software; proficient in echo strain analysis. Participates in advanced structural heart procedures. Accurate identification of anatomy on 3D imaging. Responsible for checking and obtaining orders for testing. Performs complete cardiac echocardiograms, stress testing, and assists with 2D transesophageal examinations. Position Details
