Associate Professor - Fellowship Director of the Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology Program in Knoxville, TN
THIS IS A NON-TENURE TRACK, PART-TIME 70% POSITION LOCATED IN KNOXVILLE, TN The UT Graduate School of Medicine is seeking a part-time non-tenure track Associate Professor who will serve as the Fellowship Director of the Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology Program in Knoxville, TN. This position ensures the Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Fellowship Program meets ACGME accreditation standards for procedural supervision, evaluation, and educational structure. Responsibilities: Active participation in the didactic and procedural education of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology fellows. Involvement in fellow evaluations, case-based discussions, and simulation-based training Ensure adherence to ACGME Core Competencies, including procedural proficiency, patient care, professionalism, and systems-based practice Contribute to curriculum development aligned with ACGME program requirements Teaching: Direct instruction and procedural oversight Research (as Applicable): Support resident and fellow-led case reports and clinical research. Participation in QI/PI projects relevant to Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology. Administrative Responsibilities: Participate in departmental faculty meetings, fellow review committees, and ACGME-mandated evaluations and reporting. Qualifications: EDUCATION:
MD or DO from an accredited institution. EXPERIENCE:
Minimum five (5) years of Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology experience preferred. Documented teaching effectiveness and engagement in academic programs. Experience with ACGME-accredited fellowship programs strongly preferred. Commitment to advancing clinical education, safety, and procedural excellence. LICENSES:
Board certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Interventional Cardiology (ABIM). Active Tennessee Medical license.
