The University of Southern California (USC) seeks an Academic Program Director in the Academic Services Hub within the Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences. The Academic Services Hubs provide staff support to departments across the division, fostering academic, instructional, and research-driven engagement among faculty, staff and students. Responsibilities
Direct the academic program management and student support groups within the hub. Indirectly supervise the administrative/clerical group of the hub. Collaborate with the Senior Office Manager and Administrative Director to ensure hub operations, activities and the unique identity of each department are effectively managed. Lead staff management, including short-term and long-term strategic planning. Standardize processes and procedures, incorporate feedback loops with department chairs, ensure policy compliance, and foster stakeholder relationships. Work with the Dean’s office to resolve critical issues and promote collaboration across academic disciplines through the hub structure. Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Master’s degree Minimum Experience:
7 years Minimum Skills:
Experience developing programs, partnerships, and funding sources; proven management/leadership experience; ability to work with diverse stakeholders; strong analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; experience in higher education and/or customer service; ability to plan, implement, coordinate and organize program logistics; database/data entry experience; project management and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple timelines and priorities; attention to detail. Preferred Education:
Master’s degree Preferred Experience:
10 years in an academic leadership role in higher education Preferred Skills:
Grant writing; experience developing project ideas with industry leaders, policymakers and analysts. Salary and Benefits
Salary range:
The annual base salary range for this position is $132,164 - $166,138. USC considers factors such as scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education/training, key skills, internal alignment, and applicable laws and policies when making offers. Work Arrangement
Work arrangement:
100% full-time, on-site/on-campus position. Required Documents
