Technical Program Manager – Advanced Materials Location: Riverside, CA Travel: Up to 15% Reports to: VP of Engineering Salary Range: $120,000 - $160,000 Job type: Full-time, Exempt Core hours: Standard business hours

Key Responsibilities
Align cross-functional teams—including engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain—on program goals, timelines, and deliverables from concept through production. Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers, translating feedback into actionable engineering tasks and ensuring alignment with program objectives. Represent technical content clearly to internal stakeholders and external partners (customers, suppliers, and sister companies). Coordinate joint development efforts across affiliated companies and business units, ensuring shared milestones, resources, and deliverables are met. Identify, assess, and mitigate program risks early; implement contingency plans to maintain schedule and technical performance. Track program progress using PM tools; maintain visibility on milestones, budgets, and resource allocation. Provide data-driven insights, technical context, and clear trade-off analyses to leadership and engineering teams to support timely decisions. Support development and qualification of MSM’s radar-absorbing, vibration-damping, shielding solutions and related projects across partners. Travel to customer sites, test facilities, and partner locations as needed to support execution and integration activities. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent industry experience on cross-functional engineering teams. 5+ years of experience in technical program or project management, preferably in aerospace, defense, or advanced materials. Proven leadership in managing complex, multi-disciplinary engineering products or systems from concept through delivery. Experience leading joint programs with internal departments and external partners/customers. Strong technical background with direct experience in vibration damping, RF shielding, or thermal control systems; ability to communicate complex concepts. Hands-on experience with non-metallic materials (e.g., composites, elastomers). Experience with risk management, milestone tracking, and project planning tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet). Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and lead without direct authority. Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing programs involving composite materials, elastomers, or thermal/vibration control systems. Familiarity with defense and aerospace standards (e.g., MIL-STD-810, RTCA/DO-160, SMS-S-016). PMP or similar project management certification. Master’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. Experience with PLM systems and CAD tools to support engineering collaboration. Experience with qualification and development testing, in addition to production testing environments. Background in customer-facing roles or technical business development. Benefits and Perks
