Senior risk officer responsible for credit underwriting and credit risk management across Recreation Lending, Home Improvement Lending, and Strategic Partnerships. Work closely with the Lending teams, Portfolio Management, Data Analytics, Product Management and Finance to shape credit programs to ensure loan quality, competitiveness and predictable performance. Launch new credit programs as needed. What We Are Looking For

Lead the Bank’s consumer credit team, with dotted-line reporting relationships to Home Improvement underwriters and Recreation loan officers. Own the credit performance of various portfolio types, including consumer installment, credit card and commercial lending portfolios. Facilitate safe and effective growth and profitability within our markets and niches. Build, review and refine the Bank’s consumer underwriting models, leveraging advanced statistical modeling and data science in partnership with the Data Analytics team. Proactively monitor and adjust the Bank’s credit policies based on performance and risk trends across all portfolios and risk segments. When risk segments are identified, collaborate with Finance to ensure proper ACL reserving. Evaluate and monitor the credit underwriting and credit models employed by Strategic Partners in their lending programs, ensuring proper oversight and risk management. Enhance underwriting and risk documentation, working with Strategic Partners on model validation and governance, and reporting performance to senior management, Partner management, and external stakeholders (such as the parent company). Work with Data Analytics to acquire data sets to improve model development, credit practices, and reduce risk of loss (including fraud loss) in held portfolios. Work with Product Management to improve underwriting granularity and automation while ensuring sound risk controls. Represent the Bank’s credit capabilities, vision and risk appetite to partners, employees and customers. You would be a GREAT fit with these skills

Deep understanding of consumer credit underwriting across the credit spectrum, both secured and unsecured. Skilled in statistical modeling techniques used for compliant consumer credit models, plus model risk management knowledge to keep models valid and predictive. Demonstrated leadership skills suitable for senior management and board interactions. Expertise in Excel, SQL, and strong programming and data analytics experience in R or Python. Preferred Level of Experience

10+ years of experience in bank and/or fintech credit risk management. A bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, statistics or mathematics is required. An advanced statistical background is strongly preferred. A proven track record of managing credit risk across consumer installment, subprime lending, consumer credit card and sponsor/partner credit products. What’s in it for YOU?
