Ritter Center is recruiting a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for our Behavioral Health Team. This full-time, exempt position reports to the Clinical Director based in San Rafael, CA; the role operates out of our main Campus. Please find the full job description below. Responsibilities

Provide outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management services to adult patients with behavioral health issues, in coordination with Ritter Center’s Medical Clinic and Behavioral Health Department. Work in the Behavioral Health/Medical Clinic in San Rafael and with the Health and Wellness Mobile Outreach Team throughout Marin County. Coordinate client care with an administrative assistant, manage medication refills, and oversee caseload management. Perform psychiatric services in a variety of clinical settings during scheduled hours, including outpatient evaluations and medication management. Assess, diagnose, and treat adults with behavioral health disorders; prescribe or adjust medications as appropriate. Collaborate with counselors, social workers, and other treatment team members to coordinate care. Ensure timely and accurate medical records, progress notes, outcome measures, and billing entries. Counsel clients during appointments and order laboratory/diagnostic tests as needed. Collaborate with guardians, relatives, and significant others when clinically appropriate. Prepare and submit assessments, progress notes, and reports to funders and insurers as required. Maintain compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and payor rules; ensure proper billing documentation. Follow procedures and protocols per Ritter Center policy, federal/state regulations, and the Collaborative Practice Agreement. Participate in ongoing education, training, and in-services to stay current with clinical policies and procedures. Qualifications

Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Nursing with a focus on Psychiatric nursing. Three years post-graduate experience as a PMHNP. Graduation from a state-certified advanced practice program specializing in psychiatry/mental health. Licensed as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse in the state of California. Valid DEA number and unrestricted DEA license in California. Per OSHA requirements, able to produce a negative TB test prior to start and vaccinated against COVID-19 (unless exempt). Per Marin County requirements, influenza vaccine is required (unless exempt).
