Handling tax in a large, sophisticated organization takes more than just a technical understanding of current tax practices. As a Sales and Use Tax Senior, you’ll apply your knowledge to a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising strategic outcomes to complex issues. You’ll work in a highly collaborative culture, where listening to and sharing information with colleagues is essential. Specific responsibilities include: analyzing an evolving portfolio of complex tax operations to provide meaningful business insights; identifying opportunities and risks and communicating these to clients; researching market trends to maintain credibility as a trusted advisor; developing clear plans to improve clients’ tax activities; researching clients’ business operations and building long-lasting relationships to tailor advice; supervising a motivated team and ensuring skill development and progression. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related discipline Professional knowledge in a broad range of sales and use tax processes, concepts and tools A proven record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization Technical writing and research experience in a tax context Ability to prioritize on multiple complex projects Strong influencing skills and the confidence to question existing processes Willingness to travel as needed, and working in a balanced hybrid environment Ideally, you’ll also have
CPA qualification (achieved or partially achieved), certification as a member of the Institute for Professionals in Taxation, CMI designation, or ability to sit for a state bar What We Look For

The base salary range for this job in all geographic locations in the US is $81,700 to $135,000; for NYC Metro, WA, and CA (excluding Sacramento) it is $98,100 to $153,500. Total Rewards include medical and dental, pension and 401(k), and paid time off. Team-led and leader-enabled hybrid model. Most client-facing roles involve in-person work 40-60% of the time.
