Overview
AC Hotel Dallas Downtown – Senior Sales Manager OEM. The Senior Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. The individual will solicit and secure new accounts and work with the Director of Sales to achieve revenue and market share goals for one or more properties. The focus of sales may vary based on the respective property (e.g., Leisure, Business Travel, Group, SMERF). This role also serves as a mentor/trainer for members of the Sales team. Management-level associates are expected to work as much of each workday as necessary to complete their responsibilities; for OEM associates, overtime applies and is calculated accordingly.
Responsibilities Attain assigned sales and revenue goals and solicitation call targets; train/mentorship of others to do the same.
Proactively conduct solicitation calls, sales tours, and entertain clients for Leisure, SMERF, Business Travel and/or Groups, as applicable by property.
Monitor and evaluate trends within the market segment.
Approach all encounters with guests and employees in an attentive, friendly, courteous and service-oriented manner.
Adhere to Aimbridge Hospitality’s regulations, company standards, sales standards and sales metrics.
Develop a full working knowledge of hotel operations and applicable department policies.
Maintain visibility in the local community and industry organizations, as applicable.
Assist in implementing and/or participating in promotions related to direct sales segments (e.g., sales blitzes).
Attend daily/weekly/monthly meetings and other functions as required by management.
Perform other duties as requested by the General Manager or Director of Sales.
Access to back-of-house areas of the hotel and sensitive information; interact with guests and colleagues, with applicable supervision as needed.
Drive safely on behalf of the company for business reasons; maintain a high level of trust and responsibility; represent the company with good reputation and sound judgement.
Qualifications High School diploma or equivalent required with at least 2 years of previous hotel sales experience.
Valid driver’s license for the applicable state.
Developed verbal and written communication skills to negotiate and influence hotel guests, corporate clients and managerial personnel.
Experience with professional selling skills (opening, probing, supporting, closing) preferred.
Proficient in general computer knowledge, especially Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks; strong organization and presentation skills.
