R&D Engineering Manager
to join our Development team. This is a unique opportunity to combine hands-on engineering with leadership in product development, shaping solutions that directly improve patient outcomes across cardiology, neurology, urology, and beyond. This role blends design engineering with team leadership, guiding a talented group of engineers, technicians, and assemblers. You’ll drive projects from concept through development, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and with the highest quality standards. Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $180,000.00/yr What You’ll Do
Lead, mentor, and inspire a cross-functional development team Oversee the design and prototyping of catheters, catheter-based delivery systems, and other disposable medical devices Manage projects using agile development methods, balancing technical excellence with business objectives Supervise product design in SolidWorks and hands-on prototype builds in the laboratory Partner with clients to communicate project status, challenges, and milestones Ensure projects align with regulatory requirements and quality management systems Collaborate with vendors on materials, components, and process sourcing Prepare and review design documentation, including FMEAs, test results, and drawings Support manufacturing transfer, verification/validation activities, and quality planning What We’re Looking For
Education: BS or MS in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering Experience: 6–10+ years of medical device development experience Strong background in disposable device design, prototyping, and materials knowledge Proven leadership and supervisory experience in the medical device field Familiarity with U.S. and international regulatory requirements and quality systems Skills & Abilities: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills Excellent verbal and written communication Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CAD tools (SolidWorks) Why Join Us
