Opportunity to join a leading global electrical equipment manufacturer and power conversion solutions provider, as a Lead Controls Engineer. Role Overview
Design and implement hardware/software solutions for BESS and industrial applications using PLCs, HMIs, PCs, embedded systems, drives/VFDs, sensors, and actuators. Develop power management and SCADA/HMI systems, ensuring compliance with grid codes and market needs. Standardize control strategies for grid-scale applications, including Volt-VAR, dynamic transfer, frequency compensation, black start, and islanded operation. Required Experience
Programming networked PLCs (IEC 61131-3, ISaGRAPH, CODESYS) and large SCADA/HMI systems (10k–20k tags) Power Management System (PMS) expertise Grid-scale energy storage, solar inverters, and battery systems (C-rate, SOC, BMS protocols, round-trip efficiency) Ability to interpret blueprints/specifications Strong commitment, responsiveness, and mentoring skills Seniority level
