Overview
We are seeking an experienced
Electrical Control Engineer
to join our team in Dallas, NC. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly skilled professional to provide technical and engineering support for automated industrial machinery, industrial electronic controls, and process automation systems. If you have a strong background in PLC programming, HMI/SCADA development, and electrical system troubleshooting, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities
Design, read, modify, and troubleshoot
electrical schematics ,
fluid power schematics (hydraulics/pneumatics) , and
P&ID schematics
according to
IEC and NFPA standards . Develop, troubleshoot, and maintain
PLC programs
in Siemens (SCL, FBD, Ladder Logic, Statement List), Allen Bradley, and other platforms. Write and modify code in
C++, C#, Java, Python, Visual Basic, and SQL . Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot
HMI and SCADA systems
including Siemens WinCC, Panel Builder 32, and Inductive Automation. Install, commission, repair, and troubleshoot
industrial machinery, PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, and communication systems . Upgrade and retrofit obsolete control systems, creating custom modifications as needed. Train and mentor technicians, apprentices, and interns on electrical, programming, and fluid power systems. Ensure compliance with
safety standards
and proper use of
PPE . Work independently or travel to multiple sites with tools as required. Serve as a resource for production staff across departments and facilities. Supervisory Responsibilities
Train and supervise mechatronics/controls technician apprentices. Occasionally mentor seasonal interns. Qualifications & Requirements
Education:
Associate of Applied Science in Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience/certifications. Experience:
10+ years in
industrial automation , PLC programming, HMI/SCADA systems, and industrial control troubleshooting. Certifications:
Siemens or Allen Bradley programming certifications. State-issued electrical license a plus. Proficiency in
AutoCAD Electrical . Strong ability to interpret
technical drawings, schematics, and programming logic . Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills in electrical, mechanical, and software systems. Exceptional interpersonal skills, able to communicate clearly with teams, management, and cross-functional departments. Technical Skills

Ability to stand, walk, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs. Work in various environmental conditions: heat, cold, humidity, moving machinery, or elevated areas.
