role at Burns & McDonnell The Burns & McDonnell Energy Global Practice is searching for a Senior Level Electrical Engineer to join our Denver, CO office. Our energy experts offer turnkey solutions from project financing, siting, and permitting to turnkey construction and startup, and full lifecycle technical support of all critical subsystems. We work across fuel technologies including supercritical pulverized coal, simple and combined cycle, gasification, solar, wind, and energy storage. The company provides every essential service in the energy market while projecting future load growth using efficiency initiatives. Multi-disciplined power generation projects require engineers to work in a diverse project team environment and to develop consensus in identifying optimal solutions to complex problems. In addition to multi-disciplined projects, the Energy Electrical Department executes electrical upgrade projects for power plants and heavy industrial facilities. These projects require interaction with Clients, development of solutions with clients, and successful project execution to make clients successful. The role requires troubleshooting and interpretation of conditions to develop desirable solutions. Responsibilities

Perform marketing, project development, and proposal development for electrical upgrade and multi-discipline projects. Regularly meeting and corresponding with clients or outside personnel. Developing scope of work, conceptual design, and execution plans. Preparing engineering cost and man-hour estimates and schedules. Performing Project Management duties on electrical discipline projects. Performing Lead Engineer duties on multi-discipline power generation projects. Provide leadership, guidance, instruction, and mentorship to less experienced team members. Preparing or directing the creation of construction documents for the installation of new or modifications of existing power-generating facility electrical systems. Developing or directing the creation of equipment specifications, procuring, and factory acceptance testing electrical equipment. Coordinating project design assignments and design teams locally and with other office locations. Provide guidance and field engineering support to construction and startup personnel during construction and commissioning. Coordinate departmental and divisional initiatives locally and with other office locations. This position requires approximately 20% travel to client offices and field project sites. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related degree from an ABET-accredited program. May also have a bachelor’s degree in electrical or related Engineering Technology from an ABET-accredited program and successful completion of Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. A master’s degree may substitute for 1 year of experience. Minimum of 7 years electrical engineering experience. EPC project experience strongly preferred. Experience in power generating facilities, process facilities, and/or large industrial facilities including design types such as medium voltage, low voltage, lighting, grounding, electrical equipment control, protective relaying, and associated systems design and construction administration is strongly preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with leading electrical discipline design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members. Ability to lead execution of work and resolve issues in a team environment. Demonstrated critical thinking skills and ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment. Strong attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization and problem-solving skills. Ability to perform quality reviews for detailed engineering documents and specifications. Ability to travel. Professional Engineer (PE) License Preferred. Compensation

$155,000.00 - $230,000.00 Yearly The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in compliance with local/state regulations and is based on factors such as education, qualifications, prior work experience, and location. The total annual compensation package may include a base salary and eligibility to participate in a discretionary year-end incentive bonus program. Benefits
