We seek a Rail Track Inspector to work on railroad and rail transit projects in CT and Mass., including clients like CTDOT, Amtrak, and MBTA. Responsibilities include supervising construction activities, ensuring compliance with plans and specifications, preparing inspection reports, monitoring contractor performance, and ensuring safety standards. Qualifications
Candidates should have extensive knowledge of railroad track infrastructure, construction methods, FRA standards, and experience reading complex plans. Minimum five years in railroad maintenance or inspection, with excellent communication skills and proficiency in MS Word and Excel. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Metro-North, Amtrak, or MBTA territory. Experience with Railroad Force Account inspection and reporting. Familiarity with AASHTOWare and COMPASS. Requirements
Possession of or ability to obtain Railroad Contractor Employee Safety Training credentials. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Physical and Working Conditions
Ability to work in varied weather, perform walking up to 5 miles daily, and work off-hours/weekends as needed. Benefits
