As a member of Black & Veatch’s Data Centers Team, you will contribute to facility planning, design, engineering, construction, technology, and energy services for data center projects. This role supports North America-based projects and may involve design-only, design-build, or construction-only engagements. The ideal candidate will be located or willing to relocate to Overland Park, KS (World Headquarters) or one of the following regional offices: Canonsburg, PA; Charlotte, NC; Cary, NC; Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX; Phoenix, AZ. Responsibilities

Function as a technical specialist or in a Project Lead role for electrical engineering deliverables on data center projects. Lead design-only, design-build, and construction-only projects; provide subject matter expertise in data center design. Provide technical guidance on client standards and expectations to engineering and technician staff. Collaborate with a network of engineers experienced in data center projects and build relationships with clients to understand needs. Coordinate with local electrical utilities on project technical needs; review supplier submittals; continuously develop technical expertise. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering Professional Engineer (PE) license Experience in data centers and/or data center facility design Understanding of redundancy, resiliency, and design differences in hyper-scale, edge, and colocation data centers Proficiency in 3D modeling and Autodesk Revit; familiarity with BIM 360, Navisworks, and related workflows Knowledge of data center tier rating systems; strong client-facing communication skills Ability to lead projects, manage schedules, budgets, and staffing; contribute to business development and site visits Strong problem-solving, analytical, and documentation skills; ability to thrive in ambiguity Active engineering registration or licensure to support EOR requirements (U.S. PE License or equivalent) Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience Minimum 5 years related work experience Active engineering registration or licensure to support EOR requirements Certifications

Active engineering registration or licensure to support EOR requirements (e.g., U.S. Professional Engineer License) Work Environment
