We are seeking a
Relay Settings Engineering Manager
to join our team in Framingham, MA. In this role, you will lead a team of engineers in developing relay settings for electrical substations, coordinate with various disciplines, and ensure project success from planning through construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of 8+ engineers in relay settings development for systems from 4.16kV through 500kV.
Review client work and assess scope requirements.
Collaborate with clients, vendors, and field engineers to deliver quality solutions.
Ensure compliance with safety, design, and quality standards.
Perform quality reviews on relay setting packages and create logic diagrams for IEC61850 substations.
Manage project tasks from planning to design and support during construction.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering and 10+ years of related experience.
Experience managing engineering teams and creating relay settings, calculation templates, and logic diagrams.
Proficiency with relay coordination studies and software such as Aspen OneLiner, ETAP, or Siemens CAPE.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Preferred Additional Skills:
Experience with protective relay development for various manufacturers (SEL, GE, ABB, etc.).
Familiarity with Schweitzer AcSELerator QuickSet, GE EnerVista, Schneider MiCOM, and PTC MathCAD.
Power utility or consulting experience and relay testing/troubleshooting skills.
Willingness to travel approximately 15% for project needs.
This is a full-time position with a salary range of $104,650 to $189,175. The posting was made on June 4, 2025, and remains active.
