Description
The Project Manager will coordinate all activities from contracted projects to on-site installation of Assemblies panelized residential construction system. Role will collaborate with cross-functional team members from design, engineering, project management, manufacturing, sales as well as external stakeholders such as customers, architects, building authorities, certification institutions, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. The role will be responsible for ensuring the success of each project, including managing RFIs, Change Orders, permitting, and panel production/delivery scheduling. Qualified candidate must have deep experience in and knowledge of residential construction, planning and execution of construction projects, permitting, and managing schedules. Role requires a high level of professionalism, people skills, organization, written and verbal communication, and documentation. Prior experience in panelized or prefabrication construction desired but not required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Project Management, or related field 7+ years of experience Residential construction, including project management, construction management, quality assurance, cost/budget management, site evaluation and development, trade selection and management, permitting and inspections, communications with customers and stakeholders. This role also requires identifying, vetting, negotiating with, and working with numerous customers, consultants, contractors, and external partners. Role with need to work closely and managing relationships with sometimes challenging but critical stakeholders, including building officials and large customers. The team operates as an internal startup, requiring the role to thrive in uncertainty, complexity, and "working in the gray.” The role needs to be highly entrepreneurial and self-starting. Flexibility is key to this role, as the context and products change frequently in response to customer needs, market forces, and stakeholder input. The role also must have a strong grasp of the economic and schedule implications of decisions. Finally, the role must be able to clearly communicate, respectfully advocate for, and create buy-in toward new ways of doing things.
Essential Functions
Updating and aligning with customers and customer-representatives. Coordinating activities of internal and external project team members to ensure alignment and on-time completion. Working with state and local building officials to ensure necessary regulatory steps are completed. Create, manage, and communicate project schedules. Organize and lead project meetings. Working with vendors to ensure scope and schedule alignment, as well as vendor set up and payment.
