Apply broad knowledge of Boeing design and engineering principles. Assess and resolve product and process issues through the product lifecycle. Develop and implement product and process improvement. Lead research of technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by customer and design interim and final engineering solutions. Lead development of interim and final solutions. Lead others to analyze, conduct root cause analysis, and develop dispositions for design non-conformances. Address complex nonconforming conditions and detect deviations. Analyze reported problems for potential safety issues; recommend and manage complex resolution. Provide design phase subject matter expertise by supporting Integrated Product Teams (IPT) and participating in design reviews. Represent the engineering community in the build through postproduction environment. Ensure supplier and build partner are compliant with Boeing standards. Develop customer correspondence for continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Lead and support activities for on-site disabled product repair teams and accident investigations. Design appropriate jacking and shoring schemes. Lead the design of interim structural repairs and conduct static strength analysis. Develop and lead non-destructive test procedures, tools, and standards. Develop and implement technical training curriculum for internal and external customers. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 5+ years of experience with Material Review Board / Liaison Engineering (MRB / LE) Authority (including participating in Material Review Board and Integrated Product Team activities related to aircraft structures) Willing to work alternating shifts, holidays, and weekends to support customer’s needs Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
Experience with repair concepts including repair station processes, component repair concepts, procedures, and warranty processes and contractual agreements Production Engineering Experience on the Space Launch Systems Program Additional Information
