Location: Rocket Lab Headquarters, Long Beach, CA The Propulsion Assembly Technician builds sub-assemblies for the Rutherford rocket engine, including thrust chambers, pumps, valves, plumbing, TVC actuators, motor controllers, and related mechanical components. This role supports the Propulsion Production Manager and Production organization, delivering results for internal leadership, board of directors, and investors. Note:

This position may be hired at either the Propulsion Assembly Technician I or II level. What You’ll Do

Work on a high-caliber cross-functional team Build turbo pumps and rocket engines Oversee the hardware you build as it moves toward space applications Qualifications

Propulsion Assembly Technician I 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry Experience with mechanical assembly tools (e.g., pressure testing equipment, welding preparation) Experience with electrical assembly tools (e.g., bench testing, measurement instruments) High school diploma or GED Propulsion Assembly Technician II 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience in aviation, aerospace, or similar industry Experience with mechanical assembly tools (e.g., pressure testing equipment, welding preparation) Experience with electrical assembly tools (e.g., bench testing, measurement instruments) High school diploma or GED Nice to Have 8+ years of mechanical assembly and/or mechanical fitting experience Experience with torquing, safety/lock wire installation, assembly per work instructions, and environment tests (proof and leak) A&P, trade, or industry certification Experience with in-space mechanical assemblies Knowledge of manufacturing processes and product development Additional Requirements

Willing to work Monday – Thursday (5:30am–3:30pm or 3:15pm–1:45am) Physical requirements including standing, climbing, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs, and working in tight spaces Able to move repetitively, bend or twist, and handle tools 8 hours minimum standing/walking Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis based on job-related knowledge, education, and experience. Base salary is part of a total rewards package that may include equity and benefits. Base Pay Range (CA Only): $25 - $40 USD What to Expect
