Overview
Assistant Civil Engineer - Consumer Products (Minneapolis) – Full-time. Location: Minneapolis/St Paul, US-MN. This role supports project teams under supervision of a licensed professional engineer to create designs for new projects, alterations and redevelopments across a variety of facilities including power, process, corporate, healthcare, pipeline, airports, institutional, industrial, manufacturing, government and military facilities. Responsibilities
Assist in the civil design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion. Assist with modifying and reviewing production drawings for a range of facilities (power plants, process facilities, industrial facilities, healthcare facilities, airports, educational institutions, commercial, governmental and military facilities). Assist in designing civil components to meet project needs and requirements set by project managers. Apply basic knowledge of civil engineering concepts, principles, practices, codes, and procedures. Assist with researching and compiling project data, studies and reports. Assist with correcting and updating drawings in CAD software as directed by senior engineers. Assist with client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration for project designs. Assist in performing field inspections, measurements or calculations for public and private clients. Performs other duties as assigned and comply with policies and standards. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field from ABET-accredited program, or a related Engineering Technology degree with FE exam eligibility (ABET-accredited). Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred. Basic knowledge of standard civil engineering techniques, principles and procedures. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative environment; strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic CAD/engineering software skills (AutoCAD, MicroStation, BIM (Revit), Civil 3D, PLS, PLS-CADD, RISA-3D, MathCADD) and civil analysis programs. Attention to detail, collaboration, organization, and leadership potential; EIT certification preferred. Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred; campus or community involvement preferred. Authorized to work in the country location without sponsorship or time restrictions. Compensation
$71,500.00 - $110,000.00 Yearly Benefits
