Develop and debug embedded firmware for microcontrollers and embedded Linux platforms Support board-level bring-up, device drivers, and middleware development Collaborate with systems, hardware, and software engineers on system integration Optimize performance, reliability, and maintainability of firmware components Document system interfaces and participate in cross-functional design reviews Your Background

B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline 2+ years of experience in embedded firmware development using C and C++ with the ability to script systems using Python Experience with RTOS, SPI, CAN, I2C, USB, Ethernet, and serial protocols Ability to interpret schematics and debug with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc. Familiarity with various ARM-based microcontrollers Register level understanding of typical microcontroller peripherals and how to use them Bonus Skills

Experience with embedded Linux including developing device drivers and kernel modules Prior work in laboratory automation, diagnostics, or medical devices Knowledge of regulatory standards like IEC 62304 – Medical Device Software Life Cycle Processes Experience implementing security related embedded systems including secure boot, trusted firmware, etc. Low power microcontroller implementation for battery driven systems Familiar with low power Bluetooth/BLE standards Why join Tecan Technology Development Boston now?
