Senior Mechanical Engineer at Henneman Engineering Inc. in Champaign, IL. You will contribute to mechanical design for healthcare, municipal, and higher education projects in Illinois and beyond. Responsibilities
Perform work as a senior mechanical engineer in all aspects of project development, including client coordination, pre-design services, final design services, meetings, site visits, RFIs, change orders, and overall project management. Conceptualize the initial process, mechanical, and plumbing design approach for projects, with overall responsibility for engineering and/or design work related to process, mechanical and plumbing systems, and code requirements. Conduct existing conditions surveys and prepare PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate to document relevant conditions. Organize, prepare, and review mechanical and plumbing construction drawings (PFDs, P&IDs, layouts, sections, elevations, and details as appropriate), technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates. Develop engineering solutions and designs, cost estimates, bill of materials, and schedules for projects. Apply knowledge of applicable codes and standards related to mechanical, piping, and plumbing systems. Areas Of Focus

4-Year Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in the United States. Professional Engineer license in Illinois is highly preferred. 10+ years of mechanical engineering experience in a design and consulting firm.
