Overview

Nooter/Eriksen Inc. is an employee-owned company focused on HRSG design, construction, equipment supply, and solutions in the power industry worldwide. The Systems/Commissioning & Testing Engineer will join the Thermal Design Team in Fenton, MO and work on providing operational and performance testing support on all jobs, serving as a company expert on HRSG operational theory and auxiliary equipment for core and new products. This is a hybrid role depending on business needs. Responsibilities

Office work: review contract specifications for operation, testing and commissioning; review customer specifications for auxiliary equipment needs at proposal and job stages; write job-level specifications; review bids; select auxiliary equipment suppliers; develop operator training presentations; assist with calibration of testing equipment; assist with development of O&M and water chemistry manuals and system descriptions; serve as a resource for other departments on Systems and Commissioning & Testing topics; assist Sr. Engineer with various activities. Field work: review job stage documentation; attend equipment factory acceptance tests; assist in field commissioning and performance testing of HRSGs; conduct operator training at jobsites; analyze field issues and propose product modifications; resolve customer complaints during commissioning; evaluate impact on the HRSG and provide guidance on safe operation in response to customer inquiries. Travel up to 10%–30% (international and domestic); most trips less than one week, possibly up to one month. Physical requirements include climbing ladders and stairs, working from elevated platforms and scaffolding, crawling in tight spaces, lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for extended periods, using hand tools, and working in adverse weather conditions. Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Engineering with emphasis in thermo-fluid sciences. Ability to read and understand complex technical material, perform detailed calculations, and summarize results clearly; good judgment and original thinking. Mechanical skills for installing testing equipment and working around high-temperature and high-pressure systems with appropriate safety training. Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers, and plant operations personnel. Confident, well-spoken communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills; detail-oriented and professional; proficient in English.
