The Reliability & Maintainability Engineer is a key role within the engineering team, focused on driving the design to achieve R&M targets to deliver the highest levels of performance to the platform and crew for the NGCV/OMFV program. We are looking for a Reliability Engineer to work for our Sterling Heights, MI office. A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems) or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in reliability and maintainability analytical methods for ground combat vehicles are required. Support planning, performance, and documentation of reliability activities.
Support development of System Reliability Model.
Support development of hardware and software reliability predictions.
Support development of Reliability Allocations to IPTs.
Conduct R&M Evaluations.
Support generation of Reliability Critical Item List for Hardware.
Support development of reliability block diagrams and math models.
Support development/orchestrate the develop the DFMEA with IPT support.
Support the effort to execute the activities identified in the R&M program Plan.
Support and present at human factor reviews and soldier touch points to elicit soldier feedback.
Support establishment and maintenance of a system for tracking status of test incident reports, to include distribution, failure analyses, corrective action and management reports (IST, FACARs, DARTs).
Support development of Bids and Proposals, BOEs based on SOW, System Specification requirements.
Support/Comply with all safety, security, and compliance requirements.
Manage relationships with all stakeholders to ensure R&M performance is optimized and be able to manage the political dimensions associated with a high profile program.
Support and adhere to all company safety and environmental regulations & policies.
Undertake other duties as determined by the PA&T Manager & Reliability & Maintainability Lead or his/her delegate.

Minimum Qualifications
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
Knowledge in Reliability Engineering and related Standards/Processes.
Knowledge in Systems Engineering and related Standards/Processes.
Knowledge in SysML and related Standards/Processes.
Ability to present technical briefings to clients and internal stakeholders.
Familiarity with the ground vehicle requirements.
Knowledge of the US DoD process and procedures for vehicle development.
Knowledge of Military Standards and regulations desired.
Familiarity with the US Army TACOM / TARDEC.
Education
BSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems)
MSc in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Systems), desired
Experience
3 years minimum experience in the application of reliability and maintainability analytical methods for ground combat vehicles.
Experience in delivering large complex US Defense programs.
Practical ‘hands on’ attitude with the ability to operate independently.
Applied working knowledge with a proven track record of delivery from concept to series production.
Familiarity with the US DoD ground vehicle requirements.
Experience of working in a multi-national, multi-organizational and corporate environment.
Experience with Reliasoft, or Weibull++, Crow-AMSAA (Growth Model) software.
Experience with engineering and supply chain management in a highly regulated industry.
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands
With or without reasonable accommodations, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions.
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Ability to travel up to 5% of the time. Occasional travel to Europe may be required.
