We are seeking a Senior Data Security Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, planning, organizing, and conducting activities to achieve complex cybersecurity certifications. This role may overlap in one or more functional disciplines, such as systems or software engineering. The work requires using advanced cybersecurity principles and a commitment to being an individual leader, gaining experience in all areas of avionics cybersecurity. You will leverage the most advanced modeling and simulation toolsets to evaluate cyber risk and mitigation controls at multiple stages of product development. You will be expected to work on technologies such as cyber AI, machine learning, penetration testing (white, grey, and black box), and cyber range testing. Complete development, design, testing, and cybersecurity certification assignments for Avionics systems. Gather data and prepare documentation in support of regulatory requirements. Use advanced cyber risk methodology to assess avionic systems and create a recommended mitigation report. Consult and coordinate with other engineers to determine possible design changes to meet cybersecurity requirements. Develop cybersecurity requirements and controls, support the development of risk mitigation plans for vulnerability, and support certification and evaluation efforts. Consult with customers to meet their cybersecurity needs, including penetration testing. Create new cybersecurity products based on emerging technologies such as AI, machine learning, and blockchain. Ability to work in an Agile SCRUM environment. Required

Bachelor’s degree in Systems, Software, Electrical, Computer, or Cybersecurity Engineering from an accredited institution. Minimum three years of hands-on experience with Cyber Security Compliance implementation or equivalent. Experience in cybersecurity for safety-critical products (Aerospace, Automotive, Medical Device, etc.). Ability to travel approximately 10%. Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. Visa sponsorship is not available. Must be able to work on U.S. government programs and/or obtain security clearance. Desired

Three years’ experience developing avionics systems. Knowledge of DO-326A and DO-356A (or the equivalent documents ED-202A, ED-203A). Familiarity with DISA STIGS and NIST controls and policies. Familiarity with software languages, including C, C++, and Python. Experience with Linux Operating System and scripting. Experience with airborne device authentication, embedded cross-domain solutions, and tactical cryptographic key management. Working knowledge of aircraft systems (avionics, flight controls, and mission systems). Experience with Risk Managed Framework (RMF). Experience or familiarity with attack trees, threat modeling, architectural design analysis, digital signing, software authenticity, root of trust systems, and threat and vulnerability analysis. Knowledge of modeling and simulation toolsets. Active participation in industry aerospace cybersecurity groups, industry forums, and working groups. Who We Are
