Overview

D&R Contracting is seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee commercial and industrial electrical projects from preconstruction and estimating through completion. The ideal candidate has a solid background as a licensed electrician or in electrical field supervision, combined with strong project management and estimating skills. Key Responsibilities

Lead the planning, estimating, execution, and closeout of multiple electrical construction projects. Prepare accurate cost estimates and proposals, including material take-offs, labor projections, and subcontractor pricing. Develop project schedules and budgets; monitor progress to meet deadlines and financial targets. Coordinate with owners, general contractors, engineers, and internal teams to ensure scope, specifications, and compliance requirements are met. Negotiate and manage subcontracts, purchase orders, and change orders. Provide technical guidance to field teams, ensuring adherence to the National Electrical Code (NEC) and D&R safety standards. Conduct regular site visits to track progress, resolve issues, and verify quality and compliance. Review and approve invoices, monitor costs, and maintain accurate WIP (Work in Progress) reporting. Lead project meetings and maintain clear, timely communication with all stakeholders. Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on electrical experience (journeyman, foreman, superintendent, or similar), with at least 3 years in project management and estimating. Strong knowledge of the NEC, electrical construction methods, and industrial/commercial installations. Proven ability to develop competitive estimates, budgets, and schedules. Proficiency with estimating and project management software (e.g., Accubid, Procore, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field experience strongly considered. OSHA 30 certification and valid driver’s license required; electrical license or certification a plus. Why Join D&R Contracting
