Summary
Apple is looking for a world-class Panel Process and Optics Engineer with wafer/panel process development and integration experience to join the PPO Platform Technology Team. This position requires a strong technical background in a relevant technical field, such as display process, semiconductor process, design and fabrication. Especially, a candidate with years of hands-on process development/device integration experience is preferred. Candidate with optics experience is a plus. A successful candidate will work as part of a big team. Therefore, excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. Key Qualifications
Wafer/Panel process experience Process/device integration experience Optics experience Semiconductor, or other relevant field Ability to travel internationally and frequently Preferred: Knowledge of display design, and process/device integration Knowledge of Optics Experience working with offshore suppliers and manufacturers A working understanding of high volume manufacturing processes Experience in materials characterization: SEM, TEM/FIB, EDX, AFM, XRD, DSC, etc. Description
Lead process development for new concepts and advanced technology for wafer/panel processing stack-up design, process flow optimization and materials development for next generation display technology, working with design, integration, testing, failure analysis, manufacturing teams, and various vendors/foundries to realize new concepts of design and execute experiments to develop state-of-the-art equipment or wafer/panel process of thin film/polymer deposition/coating and patterning. Optimize and improve existing device design, processes and materials for better performance, reliability, and cost reduction. Education & Experience
Ph.D. in Material Science and/or Chemical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry or equivalent Additional Requirements

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
