About the Job CenterPoint Energy is seeking a Senior Gas Transmission Integrity Engineer to join their team in Indiana, Ohio, Minnesota, or Texas. This role involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating pipeline safety risks within the transmission system. Key responsibilities include maintaining and analyzing transmission asset data, planning and executing inline inspection and pressure testing assessments, and developing long-term capital plans for the gas transmission system. Essential Functions Facilitate transmission pipeline risk modeling, threat identification, and review, including implementing or enhancing the risk model. Develop projects to improve transmission asset data quality, threat identification, risk assessment, and mitigation planning. Implement procedures for material verification and MAOP reconfirmation; manage sampling for material verification and develop remediation plans. Coordinate with Engineering and System Planning on project timing, tracking, and documentation, including scheduling and project management. Develop long-term infrastructure investment plans considering regulatory requirements, record-keeping, pressure tests, replacements, and retrofits. Review transmission work order documentation for traceability, verifiability, and completeness. Provide engineering analysis and technical support for the TIMP program, including integrating assessments from Direct Assessment and In-Line Inspections, developing ILI plans, and supporting field operations. Calculate safe operating pressures for anomalies, monitor high- and moderate-consequence areas, and update assessment schedules and risk models accordingly. Evaluate valve spacing, blow-off requirements, and perform purging calculations. Review and approve pipeline engineering designs to ensure compliance with integrity standards. Support regulatory compliance, data requests, and audits, adapting programs to changing safety regulations. Education and Certification Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil, or other approved engineering discipline from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) Certification. Experience Minimum of four years’ experience in integrity management, compliance, utility design, or related project construction.
