We’re seeking a

LicensedClinical Laboratory Scientist I (CLS I)

to join a high-complexity molecular diagnostics lab focused on oncology testing. In this role, you’ll perform analytical testing and molecular assays while maintaining compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and CLIA/CAP regulations. Key Responsibilities

Perform clinical testing on patient samples, including molecular assay setup (RNA extraction, reverse transcription, pre-amplification, real-time PCR).

Follow established quality control processes, documenting QC activities, equipment verifications, and maintenance.

Identify and report issues affecting test performance and document corrective actions.

Maintain accurate test and quality system records in compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulatory requirements.

Support laboratory inspections and licensure activities.

Use in-house Laboratory Information System (LIS) for data management.

Collaborate with team members to meet corporate and laboratory operational goals.

May assist with assay development and oversee non-licensed personnel.

Qualifications

Active

California Clinical Genetics Molecular Biologist Scientist (CGMBS)

or

Generalist Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS)

license. (Include license number or copy with submission.)

Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Biological Sciences, or related field.

Meets CLIA ’88 (42 CFR, part 493) testing personnel requirements.

Experience in a

high-complexity CLIA/CAP environment .

Hands-on experience in

molecular biology, molecular pathology, or medical genetics.

Skills & Experience

Manual and automated pipetting of patient samples and reagents.

Real-time PCR and assay preparation (e.g., master mix creation).

Background in oncology or molecular biology in a CLIA laboratory.

Experience with

Tecan instruments

a plus.

Demonstrated integrity and sound ethical judgment.

Additional Information

On-site position; remote work is not available.

No vaccination requirements.
