Job Summary
The department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and Institute for the Wireless Internet of Things (WIoT) is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on the design, development, and realization of future communications technologies. You will be part of the team and contribute to ongoing developments in theory, algorithms and translation to practice in new applications.
Qualifications
Must have a PhD or equivalent in engineering or mathematics. Must be able to undertake full-time research and scholarship. Must be able to work in collaborative multi-institutional teams with senior and junior scholars. Strong foundations in information theory, communications and applied probability are required. Clear writing and presentation skills are essential.
A one-year post, with a possible extension to two years depending on availability of funds and sustained excellence in meeting the duties and expectations is offered.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

Work collaboratively in developing the standard for the next generation of error correction decoders

Invent new algorithms, develop new theory using non-standard approaches to analyse them, and collaborate with experts on designs that enable rapid translation it into hardware.

Take the lead on disseminating research results, including leading the writing of conference and journal papers.

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role.
