Minimum: $41.02/hr, Maximum: $68.36/hr Type
Contract Position Summary
Lead complex capital and non-capital projects across a wide range of public facilities. This is a high-impact role for a licensed Professional Engineer who thrives in both office and field environments and is passionate about public infrastructure, sustainability, and safety. Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems, including generators, life safety systems, solar PV, and EV infrastructure. Manage large-scale engineering projects in occupied facilities, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency. Serve as a subject matter expert across departments, providing technical guidance and oversight. Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and budget constraints. Sign and seal engineering documents as a licensed PE. Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in electrical engineering. Licenses & Certifications
Required: Valid Driver’s License Professional Engineer (PE) License in Electrical Engineering (or eligible for reciprocity within 6 months) Preferred: Experience in commercial power distribution, energy management, and mission-critical systems; strong background in contract and project management Technical Expertise
Electrical system design, validation, and optimization Life safety systems and photovoltaic (solar) systems Familiarity with energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives Skills & Attributes
Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication Ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously Comfortable working in both office and active construction site environments Physical Requirements
Ability to climb ladders, access confined spaces, and lift/push up to 25 lbs Must be mobile and able to work in extreme temperatures and on active job sites
