Academic Neurologist, Movement Disorders & General Neurology - Worcester, MA The Department of Neurology at the University of Massachusetts Medical School (UMMS) is recruiting an Academic Movement Disorders & General Neurology clinician. The clinician will participate in a patient-centered Movement Disorders program with an established team of 4 MDs and an NP who specializes in DBS programming. Activities may include DBS planning during monthly interdisciplinary meetings with neurosurgery and neuropsychology, DBS programming, and botulinum toxin injections. There is opportunity to work with trainees and medical students in inpatient and outpatient settings throughout the year. This position entails a faculty appointment at UMMS with opportunities for professional development and promotion, and membership in the medical staff at UMass Memorial Medical Center, a large integrated health system. UMMS/UMMHC combines clinical care with research across RNA biology, gene expression, and outcomes research, with a translational program supported by a Clinical Translational Science Award (CTSA). The Neurology Department supports teaching, inpatient/outpatient services, a neuroICU, and a broad referral base in New England.
