Job Summary
The Mammography Technologist Per Diem specializes in screening and diagnostic mammograms with a focus on ACR (American College of Radiology) guidelines and is responsible for performing high-quality mammograms following established protocols and guidelines. This includes positioning patients, operating mammography equipment, and ensuring accurate image capture. The technologist must also maintain patient records and adhere to safety protocols. They should be open to traveling to other UC facilities as needed to provide coverage. Minimum Qualifications
ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) Certification or CRT American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR Valid CRT (Diagnostic Radiologic Technology) CA State License Valid CRT (Mammographic Radiologic Technology) CA Mammography State License ARRT Mammography Credential Applicant must be up to date on State requirements for Mammography Performance Graduation from a Radiologic Technologist Program accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Comprehensive understanding of essential Mammography imaging and knowledge of Radiology equipment, supplies, and drugs Ability to operate radiographic and auxiliary equipment to produce a quality product; adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades Physical ability to perform all functions of a mammography technologist Skill to prioritize workload to produce a sufficient volume of work in a timely manner Demonstrates responsibility and dependability (attendance, punctuality, positive attitude, initiative in duties, maintenance of equipment, etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
A.S. in Radiologic Science/Radiologic Technology 1 year of experience in mammography
