The Senior Director, Executive & Internal Communications will work closely with the VP, Corporate Communications for Sam’s Club to serve as the executive communications lead for the Sam’s Club president and CEO. This role will work directly with the CEO to shape content consistent with the Sam’s Club narrative, identify strategic platforms internally and externally on which to tell our story, and develop materials to support these activities including speeches, presentations, fact sheets, briefing materials, and more. The role will also serve as the internal communications lead, ensuring associates are aligned behind our strategy and understand where the business is headed. In addition, this leader will supervise a team of executive communications professionals who support Walmart’s C-suite corporate function business partners in Finance, People, Global Governance, Corporate Affairs, and Global Tech. Prepare presentations, speeches, business-wide messages and talking points around key moments for both internal and external audiences. Design executive communications plans and platforms that showcase Sam’s Club industry leadership and strategy. Determine the right swim lanes for the Sam’s Club leadership team, starting with the CEO. Apply creative ways to tell stories and determine the ways to reach and engage with key audiences. Continuously challenge and improve the effectiveness of communication efforts and monitor and analyze communication activities to inform future decision making. Prepare, coach and staff CEO and other leaders as needed for speaking engagements. Use technology including GenAI to ensure you and your team operate effectively and efficiently. What you’ll bring...
